1. NSF Education and Human Resources (EHR) Grants

John Tsapogas from the Office of Award Pre-Proposal Support (APPS) at the Research Foundation of CUNY will join the Hostos community to discuss grant opportunities in the National Science Foundation’s Education and Human Resources (EHR) Directorate.  NSF's EHR grants are designed to prepare the next generation of STEM professionals, and broaden participation in the STEM disciplines throughout higher education. EHR proposals from community colleges, like Hostos, are very competitive, and deserve special attention when faculty are deciding which NSF programs to apply for. John Tsapogas previously served as an NSF program officer, and will provide special insights on relevant initiatives within the EHR Directorate, such as Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE), Advanced Technological Education (ATE), and Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM). Workshop attendees will better understand the different priorities of these grantmaking initiatives, and how to craft a competitive proposal that is responsive to the NSF's objectives.

2. PSC-CUNY Research Award Program, Cycle 51 Workshop

Attendees will be provided with an overview of the PSC-CUNY Research Award Program and topics such as award types, budgets and the electronic proposal submission system will be discussed.
3. Finding Funding: Best Practices for Utilizing Pivot & GrantForward
When: Wednesday, December 4th from 2-3:30 PM

Learn about how to use Pivot and GrantForward to uncover new funding opportunities for your research, scholarship, or special projects. From ‘just getting started’ to advanced techniques, attendees will become familiar with how to use these free CUNY resources and locate the awards that match their needs.
