Transfer and Transition: Articulation Agreements and Joint Programs

An Articulation Agreement [ARAG] is an agreement between two schools that allows course credit at one school to be accepted and applied toward a degree at another school.

Joint Dual Degree Program [DDP]
Students must complete the first two years of lower-division as the first two years of the program required at the senior institution and, if successful, students can apply to transfer to the upper-division courses at the senior college. Students must be admitted to each program in sequence for they cannot gain admission to the bachelor program before attaining the associate degree within the joint/dual degree program.

Dual Admission Program [DJAP]
The program will provide HCC students with the same curriculum as the first two years of the program required at the senior institution. Upon successful completion of the lower division at HCC, students will have a seamless transition to the upper division of the baccalaureate program. Students who successfully complete the associates program do not formally apply to the senior college if they choose to continue the degree at the senior institution.
