Office of Communications

The mission of the Office of Communications is to support and promote the College and the accomplishments of students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

The Office of Communications plays an integral role in maintaining the College’s public profile, and serving as the primary liaison to internal campus communications, as well as local, national and international media outlets. The office manages the College's institutional brand, crisis situations, strategic initiatives, news web pages, social media handles, and more.

The communication’s team is responsible for producing, editing, and disseminating written communications including student and faculty profiles, award news, statements, talking points, commemorative publications, special issues, and more to publicize and promote activities on campus and initiatives that support everything from recruitment to fundraising events.

Charged out of the Office of the President, the communications team works closely with faculty, staff, students, executive staff, and Central Office leadership, and other stakeholders interested in the mission and purpose of Hostos Community College.
