The Hostos Center for Bronx Nonprofits presents the 2nd Annual Women's Resilience Conference. This event is aimed at sharing the important work being done by women in a variety of fields. Join us as we explore the topic of civic engagement, the importance of participating in the 2020 Census, the role self-care plays in our lives and much more!

9:45 a.m. - Keynote Speaker: NYC Department of Veterans’ Services Commissioner Loree Sutton, MD (Brigadier General – Ret.).
10:15 a.m. - Pop up Table Talks with various Program Participants: Thirteen speakers from various walks of life will share their organizational missions and background stories.

11:45 a.m. - Civil Engagement Discussion with Amanda Septimo: Born and raised in the South Bronx, Amanda Septimo is an example of what happens when our children are provided with the positive opportunities and tools for success in order to become the leaders of tomorrow. Join her as she shares the story of how she went from lifelong Bronx resident and community activist to running for elected office.

1:45 p.m. - Representative of 2020 Census: A conversation on why it is especially important for Bronx residents to participate in the 2020 Census and tips on how to get more involved.
2:00 p.m. - Self-Care Workshop with Marvela Guice: This fun session will give participants tips on stress management, self-awareness and the importance of self-care. Marvela L. Guice has spent 20 years in the fields of Organizational Development & Training. She has helped numerous organizations and individuals achieve success through the practice of self-actualization.
