Late May and the first half of June provided Hostos with a number of opportunities to celebrate its faculty and students.
Ana Garcia Reyes, Hostos’ Associate Dean for Community Relations

On May 21 Ana Garcia Reyes, Hostos’ Associate Dean for Community Relations, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hispanic Health Professional Association Inc. NY (HHPANY) at the XII Annual International Medical Congress. The Congress was held at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx.

On May 24, the 14th Annual Faculty Spring Luncheon was held on campus in the Faculty Dining Room. Titled “Celebremos Nuestros Logros / Celebrating Our Achievements,” the event honored Hostos’ 2017-2018 PSC / CUNY Research Award recipients. Recipients included faculty members Thomas Beachdel, Louis Bury, Vyacheslav Dushenkov, Eugena Griffin, Andrew London, Jorge Matos, Ana Ozuna, Van Phan, Peter Roman, and Alisa Roost. Congratulations to all who were honored!
