Carlos Guevara, Director of Educational Technology (EdTech) and Co-Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, has been invited to tap into his well of knowledge as an expert panelist for the 2021 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report

A community of Information Technology leaders and professionals from over 2,300 organizations, EDUCAUSE supports those who lead, manage and use IT to advance higher education. The nonprofit association offers members cutting-edge research, toolkits and publications, face-to-face and online professional learning opportunities, as well as networking opportunities.

As a panelist, Guevara will participate in determining the major trends influencing and impacting global higher education, as well as help identify some of the most important emerging practices and technologies for teaching and learning in post-secondary education.

“I am humbled and proud to be invited to be part of this important initiative; especially because since its inception, it has been the ‘go to guide’ for higher education institutions across the world to inform their strategic plans and set priorities to promote innovation and reach higher levels of student success,” he shared. “I look forward to not only contributing to this initiative, but most importantly, learning from this unique experience.”

The focus of the 2020 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report was teaching and learning. It profiled key trends and emerging technologies shaping the future of teaching and learning based on the expertise of a global panel of leaders from the higher education landscape.

Guevara will also serve as a keynote speaker at the Virtual International Congress of Research and Innovation organized by the Rumiñahui Technical Institute in Ecuador on June 18, during which he will give a presentation on the organizational challenges in adopting a culture of innovation.

We are excited and proud of Guevara for his ongoing contributions to the field of EdTech and beyond.
