Good news keeps rolling in for Hostos grads!

Class of 2020 member Anthony Booth recently received not one but two letters of acceptance for further study: one from Columbia University and one from Yale University. Booth has chosen Yale, where he will major in Psychology and Neuroscience beginning this fall.

Booth left a 13-year career as an award-winning Private Client Banker at JPMorgan Chase to attend Hostos, maintaining a 4.0 GPA during his four semesters. In Fall 2019, he worked as a Supplemental Instruction Leader, offering additional math tutoring.

Theater Professor Angel Morales described Booth as a rare talent with whom any faculty member would like to work. “He is disciplined, mature, and responsible,” said Morales. “As an actor, Anthony delivered strong performances in my Honors class, and I have invited him to my other acting classes to model what a monologue performance is. I am certain Anthony will be a great addition to Yale, and hope I will be able to direct him in a play in the future."

Booth would like to thank the friends and faculty at Hostos who urged him to pursue his dreams, especially Kristopher Burrell, Hee Lee, and Joey Snavely.

Congratulations, Anthony! Everyone at Hostos wishes you continued success.
