On June 21, Hostos’ Adult Learning Center and Division for Continuing Education and Workforce Development recognized 140 students who earned their High School Equivalency (HSE) diplomas.

The Class of 2015-16 was the largest to date, and the Hostos Café was filled with family and friends who celebrated the commitment of the students. Student speakers who shared stories of their personal journeys included Rosa Herrera, Christopher Ramos, Loretta Craig-Faison, and Rhonda Lewis.

Helping to recognize the students’ hard work were Sheryl Smith, Director of the Adult Learning Center; Carlos Molina, Vice-President of Continuing Education; and Peter Mertens, Assistant Dean of Continuing Education.
