The Hostos women’s basketball team topped Anne Arundel Community College on March 14, 91-37, in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Division-III Tournament. The Caimans were led by Skydajah Patterson (above), who scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Kayla Wilson added 19 points and 17 rebounds.
Next up for the topped-ranked Caimans is the semifinal game against Western Technical College (No. 4) from La Crosse, Wisconsin on Friday, March 15, at 5:00 p.m. The winner of that game plays for the NJCAA Division-III Championship on Saturday, March 16, at 7:00 p.m. The Caimans are playing for a repeat as National Champions after winning the tournament for the first time in the program’s history in 2018.
