Honored by family, friends, classmates, and Hostos faculty and administrators, 148 Dean’s List students were recognized during a special ceremony held in the Main Theater on November 18.
 
The ceremony included congratulatory comments from Hostos Interim President David Gómez, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Carmen Coballes-Vega, and Chair of both the Business Department and College Senate Hector López.
 
President Gómez lauded the students for their extraordinary work, while reminding some of Hostos’ best and brightest that they did not get this far on their own.
 
Varnell Pritchett from the Hostos Honors Program and Student Government President Feliberto Feliz also participated in the ceremony.
 
Pritchett urged the students to keep striving toward bigger goals. Feliz spoke to the large crowd about the importance of faith, wisdom and dedication.
 
Students were also awarded with Dean’s List pins and certificates of merit.
