Moreina Moore Named First Team All-American

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
The NJCAA announced its 2019-20 Division III Women's Basketball All-America Teams and earning a spot on the distinguished First Team was sophomore guard Moreina Moore of Hostos Community College. Moore signals the fourth consecutive year that a member of the Caimans women's basketball team earned All-America status.

Moore was terrific in her final campaign in a Hostos uniform, and her talent did not go unnoticed, being selected as both the CUNYAC and NJCAA Region XV Player of the Year.

Moore averaged a team-best 18.6 points per game, shooting 46-percent from the field and 84-percent from the free throw line. She scored in double figures in every game she played, highlighted by a 25-point effort against Nassau CC in the Region XV Championship game.

Moore led Hostos to its fourth straight CUNYAC Championship and third consecutive Region XV title, granting the Caimans an opportunity to defend its NJCAA DIII National Championship.
