In partnership with City Lore, Hostos Center presents an evening devoted to understanding Boogaloo, its origins, rise and fall, including a sneak preview of selected scenes from the forthcoming feature-length documentary, We Like it Like That: The Story of Latin Boogaloo, with filmmaker Mathew Ramirez Warren. A panel discussion follows with Boogaloo artists Joe Bataan, Johnny Colón, Benny Bonilla and Anna Arraya-Colón, along with broadcaster Felipe Luciano, moderated by the noted folklorist and Latin music historian, Elena Martínez.
