Payment Options

International Students:

International Students can find more information about payment methods at CUNY International – MyCollegePaymentPlan.

Domestic Students:

You may pay your Tuition and Fees in one or more of the following ways:

  1. Pay in full with financial aid.
    • If your financial aid grants and loans appear on your account as pending aid or anticipated aid, no further action with the Bursar is required; your bill is automatically considered finalized.
    • If financial aid is not reflecting on your bill as pending or anticipated, check the To Do list on your Student Center page to make sure there are no pending items to complete/submit.
  2. Pay with cash, check, or money order.
    • Cash: Please be sure that you receive a receipt from the Bursar showing the amount paid at the time of bill payment. Please keep the receipt as it is your only evidence that you made payment.
    • Check / Money Order: Students whose checks are returned by their bank will be subject to $20 reprocessing fee and will be required to make all subsequent payments by cash or certified check.
  3. Pay online via eCheck or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express). A service fee is assessed for all debit/credit card payments online.
    • eCheck: Direct withdrawal from personal bank account. Failure to input accurate bank account information may result in the payment being rejected and an additional charged for returned payment. Double check/Verify the bank information input before saving. No extra processing fee for E-check payments.
    • Credit Card: Credit cards may be used to make payments online in CUNYfirst. A service fee is assessed for all card payments online. Card payments can NOT be made in person at the Bursar’s Office window.
  4. Enroll in a payment plan. Establish your payment plan based on your tuition and fee costs and your anticipated financial aid. To enroll, log into CUNYfirst Self-Service and go to your Student Center. Go to Finances and select Enroll/Manage Payment Plan.
  5. Pay via Third Party Voucher from your employer/sponsor. Obtain a voucher from your employer/sponsor and present it to the Business Office at the time of registration to defer your tuition. Third party vouchers are applicable only when the college is authorized to directly bill the company/sponsor.

Please be reminded that if the company/sponsor does not pay for any reason, the student is ultimately responsible for any assessed tuition and fee charges.
