PeopleSoft 9.2 Upgrade
CUNYfirst is getting an updated look and feel as it moves to PeopleSoft 9.2. The new version will provide a modern, tile-based interface that you can customize by dragging and dropping tiles. The interface will also be mobile friendly and scale to fit the display of the device you use, whether it’s your phone, PC or laptop. 9.2 also provides better search capabilities to make it easier for you to find the needed function.
The PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade will take place in two phases. In Phase 1 (December 2021), the CUNYfirst Human Capital Management (HCM or HR) and Financial systems were upgraded to PeopleSoft 9.2. Phase 2 upgrades the CUNYfirst Campus Solutions (CS) system to PeopleSoft 9.2 and integrates the new Fluid user interface across CUNYfirst in Spring 2022.
When will PeopleSoft 9.2 Upgrade will come to effect?

Where can I find user training on the PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade changes to CUNYfirst?
User training for PeopleSoft 9.2 changes to Campus Solutions, employee self-service and HCM (Human Capital Management, or human resources) and Finance functions is available on the CIS Training Schedule SharePoint site.
March 28-April 22 End-User Training for Campus Solutions Staff, Faculty and Advisors
On March 28, 2022, CIS Training will begin CUNYfirst Upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2 training for Campus Solutions Staff, Faculty and Advisors. Registration and training resources are available through the CUNYfirst SharePoint page. Contact CISTraining or your department lead for additional information.
Will CUNYfirst be unavailable during the upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2?
Generally, only the CUNYfirst systems being updated are unavailable to CUNYfirst users. The dates and times of CUNYfirst systems unavailability due to upgrades and planned maintenance are posted to the CUNYfirst home page. Messages about both planned and unplanned CUNYfirst unavailability are posted to the Enterprise Service Desk Announcements section of the CUNY IT Help page.
CUNY CIS Communications and Training Plans
- CIS will post informational announcements to the CUNYfirst web page on CUNY.edu, including links to new training offerings for Campus Solutions faculty and staff users, videos, and updated Campus Solutions documentation in CUNY IT Help.
- CIS Training will continue to provide live and recorded training on PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade topics, including an introduction to the new CUNYfirst navigation, Campus Solutions training on select topics and job aids for specific tasks. CIS Training will also provide training to the college help desk staff.
- CIS is updating PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade FAQs prior to the upgrade, and updating Student Center, Faculty Center and Advisement step sheets in CUNY IT Help following the upgrade. Additional “getting started” documentation is being developed that will introduce users to the CUNYfirst navigational change.
