- Log into your Office account
- Click on your User Name on top right of the screen
- Click on your User Name on top right of the screen
- Click View Account
- Click on Security Info
- Click on the + beside Add sign-in method
- In the pop up window, click the drop-down menu and select Authenticator App
- Click on Add
- DO NOT click on next.
DO CLICK ON ‘I want to use a different authenticator app’ link
- SWITCH TO YOUR PHONE (Keep in mind the phone must be connected to the internet)
- Download the “OneLogin Protect’ Authenticator App from your app store.
If you have already downloaded the app, you can skip this step.
- Open the ‘OneLogin Protect’ app
- If it asks you, grant it permissions to send you notifications
- Tap on the + Sign on top Right to start setting up the account
- Depending on your phone security setting, you may be required to grant permissions to your camera. Click on allow.
- Your camera is now visible on your screen
- SWITCH TO YOUR COMPUTER
- On your computer where you started the setup) Click on Next
- A QR Code appears
- SWITCH TO YOUR PHONE
- With the camera displaying on your screen point your camera to the QR Code on your browser screen
- Your app will register the device and display registration complete
- An account with the name Microsoft will be displayed with a set of numbers and your account name displayed below this.
- SWITCH TO YOUR COMPUTER
- Click Next
- When prompted for code from the Authenticator App, type in the code that is displayed on your phone
- Click on Next
- You should see a pop up stating your Authenticator app has been successfully registered, followed by a new entry listed for Authenticator App on your Security Info Page
- Your MFA set up with the Authenticator App is now complete
