Hostos User Account

Hostos users are provided with a unique user name and password to access all the resources provided by Hostos. The Hostos user account provide a means for authenticating and auditing user’s access to the network and the domain resources.

Eligibility:

• Alumni
• Faculty
• Interns
• Staff
• Retirees, and
• Students

Eligible Students will have access to:

1. The lab computers
2. Designated printers at the computer lab and library
3. Hostos web applications:
   • Webmail
   • Caiman Card/Hostos ID Card (used to: enter campus buildings, buy food at the Hostos café, buy snacks at select vending machines)
   • Succeed@Hostos (integrated program designed to help students achieve their academic goals)
   • Hostos Service Portal
4. Mobile email services
5. Wireless access and wireless printing

Faculty and staff will have access to:

1. Computer and designated multi-functional printers
2. Hostos web applications:
   • Webmail
   • Caiman Card/Hostos ID Card (used to: enter campus buildings, access offices, Smart Classrooms, buy food at the Hostos café, buy snacks at select vending machines)
   • Succeed@Hostos (integrated program designed to help students achieve their academic goals). This resource is not available to all staff and faculty.
   • Hostos Service Portal
   • Tech resource reservation system
   • ePar, PEMS, Timesheets, Time & Leave, etc. These resources are not available to all staff and faculty.

5. Network resources - access to file servers (share folders), my documents (files and folders located in individual computer), outlook calendars, Sharepoint, VPN, Remote Access, etc.
