Jacqueline M. DiSanto is full professor, chair of the Education Department, and coordinator for Teacher Education. She is the co-chair of the Educational Technology Leadership Council and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Dr. DiSanto is a team leader on the multi-year, grant-funded CUNY Computing Integrated Teacher Education (CITE) initiative, which supports CUNY teacher-education programs to prepare educators to equitably and meaningfully integrate computing and digital literacies into public school classrooms (https://www.cuny.edu/academics/academic-programs/teacher-education-programs/computing-integrated-teacher-education/, 2026).
 
Dr. DiSanto began her journey in higher education at New York University, where she earned a B.S. in Business Education (grades 9-12) and an M.A. in Business Education/Higher Education.  She continued a professional certificate at Fordham University in Administration and Supervision, followed by her Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership. Her doctoral research was on the effects of learning-styles strategies on the academic achievement and attitudes of twelfth-grade students studying world literature.
 
Prior to coming to Hostos, she served as a college instructor, vice-principal, and principal. She also wrote staff-development curriculum for organizations such as Dun & Bradstreet and Local 1199.
