  1. Mathematics or Computer Science Major
  2. Low-income status or equivalent
  3. Demonstrate unmet financial need (determined by the Office of Financial Aid)
  4. Enroll part-time or full-time
  5. GPA of 2.5 or higher
  6. U.S citizen, permanent resident, or admitted refugee.
  7. Incoming freshmen with a minimum high school GPA of 80 


  1. Completed Application
  2. Personal Statement (min. 200 words)
  3. Letter of recommendation from a STEM faculty or advisor
  4. Copy of Unofficial Transcript
  5. Meet with MACSS Advisors
  6. Complete evaluations and assessments
*Scholars are expected to maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher by the completion of their Associate Degree.
