Title V Grant will increase professional development and other resources for faculty and staff to improve program quality and student success. The activity includes: (a) Deepening faculty and staff collaboration and support to connect programs to career development; (b) Building capacity for faculty professional learning in, for examples, high-impact practices including; experiential learning, and supplemental instruction; (c) Supporting faculty to assess, revise, and offer curricula around matters of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) through release time and summer salary; semester-long seminars will be developed and provided on incorporating DEIJ into the curriculum; (d) Supporting use of exploration and pedagogical use of technology. PD - ACUE In Year 1-5, Hostos will collaborate with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to provide faculty access to “Effective Teaching Practices” a 25-module online course in which faculty learn, implement, and reflect on the most effective strategies for instruction.The courses will take place over the fall and spring terms of the academic year. ACUE’s tuition will be paid using grant funds. ACUE Cohort I (2023)
