The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research and Assessment (OIERA) is responsible for, and provides support in, ensuring the implementation of the College’s Institutional Effectiveness Plan (IEP), which provides Hostos with evidence of progress towards achievement of its mission and institutional goals. In this role, OIERA provides institutional oversight, guidance; and support for strategic and operational planning; support to academic departments and administrative, educational, and student support (AES) units regarding the use of assessment results for the enhancement of student learning; research design and methodology guidance; and the data and analyses that support the College’s planning, assessment, and operational functions and inform decision-making across the institution.
