Responsibilities
The Consultation & Assessment Team (CAT) will:
- Develop an online form for Members of the college community to report suspected cases.
- Develop and disseminate informational materials focused on identification and prevention of disruptive behavior.
- Receive and gather information about difficult situations involving members of the college community.
- Discuss referred cases.
- Make recommendations on how to handle/resolve cases which are referred.
- Serve as a resource to members of the college community to address the needs of individuals with behavioral, emotional, and psychological concerns.
- Compile and maintain a list of community agencies/services to refer individuals in need of services beyond their professional scope.
- Help connect on campus services and response.
- Meet once a month and as necessary in emergency situations.
- Recommend appropriate action per case in accordance with existing college policies.
