The Let’s Chat Series aim is to connect students with advisors, tutoring staff, and librarians in an interactive conversation structured around the themes of advisement, registration, tutoring and library resources. Advisors, tutoring staff and librarians provide information about how to get help with assignments, and share strategies to help students prepare for advisement and registration while promoting the use of tools, such as CUNYfirst, Degree Works & Succeed@Hostos.
Each chat session has been designed to explore a different topic in an informal setting to enhance students’ experiences by giving them the opportunity to ask questions and getting the answers they need to achieve their academic goals. These open conversations are intended to increase students’ knowledge of distance learning resources, supports, and processes in order to minimize barriers and meet their needs. The sessions are one hour and half and are open to all enrolled Hostos students.
