Hostos Community College of The City University of New York is pleased to announce that Jason A. Caraballo and Julio Reyes have joined the Hostos Foundation Board, which offers financial assistance to deserving students through gifts, scholarships, subsidies, endowments, grants, bequests, and other funds. They bring wide-ranging experiences, and a strong commitment to the Bronx, to their new roles.
 
Jason A. Caraballo

Mr. Caraballo is a lifelong Bronxite. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management & Policy from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Administration Degree in Health Policy & Management from the New York University Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. His career began at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and is now the Community Relations Manager at Montefiore Medical Center—a longstanding community partner to Hostos that is generously serving as a Platinum Sponsor of Hostos’ 50th Anniversary Scholarship Benefit on April 19. Mr. Caraballo is a member of Bronx Community Board 4, where he serves on the Youth & Education Committee, and the Secretary of the Bronx Young Democrats.
 
Julio Reyes

Mr. Reyes has a long history with Hostos. He has been an Allied Health Services Pipeline Board Member and currently serves on the Hostos 50th Anniversary Scholarship Benefit Committee. He has worked with the Career Development Office, taken part in numerous career fairs, career pay panels, and banking events. Reyes is the Vice President, Popular Community Bank and Branch Area Manager for the Bronx, overseeing five branches and 46 employees. Popular Community Bank is another important Hostos supporter and a Community Sponsor of Hostos’ 50th Anniversary Scholarship Benefit. Popular has also provided vital support to Hostos’ Center for Bronx Nonprofits. Mr. Reyes graduated from Borough of Manhattan Community College and is currently attending Lehman College, where he is working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
