Hostos Community College achieved the 7th position on the EDSmart list of the 2024 Best Community Colleges in New York. This ranking highlights Hostos as the highest-ranked CUNY community college on the list, underscoring its dedication to delivering high-quality education and support services to a diverse student body.

Academic success and efficiency, measured by graduation rates, reflect the educational programs' effectiveness. The evaluation also considers balanced performance, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive educational experience encompassing more than just financial or academic metrics. Additionally, each college is noted for its unique strengths, such as specialized programs that lead to high-paying jobs catering to diverse student needs and goals.
Considering these metrics, Hostos boasts a score of 94.6%, reflecting its strong performance across current higher education trends. Graduates from the College can expect an average salary of $40,604 after attending. As highlighted
on the list, the institution also has excellent, steadfastly growing retention and graduation rates, indicating a commitment to student success and educational efficacy.

Our 9-month Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program has been ranked #5 by AZED News, highlighting our effective blend of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical education across various healthcare settings. Also garnered by AZED News, our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Online program is celebrated as one of the best in New York City, achieving a #4 ranking.
