Hostos Community College President Daisy Cocco De Filippis is named among
City & State New York’s 2022 Power of Diversity: Latino 100 list.
President Cocco De Filippis is ranked 79
th on the list and recognized as a pioneer of Dominican women's studies. City & State also highlights her dedication to supporting students during the coronavirus pandemic and the president’s motto, “
manos a la obra/all hands on deck.”
President Cocco De Filippis is in great company, as numerous CUNY connections are honored on the list as well, including: CUNY Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez; CUNY trustees Robert Mujica, Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez and Mayra Linares-Garcia; Lehman College President Fernando Delgado; Newmark J-School Dean Graciela Mochkofsky; and several elected officials who are CUNY grads.
