Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Hostos Center with the acclaimed Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, blending ancient Chinese traditions with contemporary movement. 2025 is the Year of the Snake, symbolizing wisdom, transformation and resilience.
The program features performances like “Lion in the City,” a fusion of Lion Dance and hip-hop, and “Unfolding,” a collaboration between Nai-Ni Chen and a Korean Janggu performer, exploring life’s continuous change. The event celebrates themes of harmony, renewal, and empowerment, culminating in “Dragon Festival,” a blessing for the community. The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will also premiere a new work, “Dances of the Golden Snake,” choreographed by Ying Shi.
