The Office of Compliance and Diversity is pleased to announce that Hostos Community College has joined other CUNY colleges to be a member of the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium, through which faculty, staff and students will archive LGBTQIA+ history across New York, and support LGBTQIA+ training, education, and programming at the colleges. The Consortium is comprised of CUNY community colleges, four-year institutions, and professional schools in all five boroughs of New York City. The CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium is a significant enterprise representing LGBTQIA+ support throughout the CUNY system. Hostos’ involvement reflects our commitment to inclusivity and raising awareness by promoting, advancing and supporting previously marginalized groups, specifically the LGBTQIA+ community.
Led by Jewel Jones, the Associate Director of the Office of Compliance and Diversity, Hostos will be planning several events throughout this academic year at the campus in collaboration with other Hostos organizations, faculty, staff and students.
