Chief Arnaldo Bernabe, Director of Campus Police & Security ServicesThe Hostos\CUNY Department of Public Safety takes a holistic, community-oriented approach to providing preventive and protective services to the Hostos community. We strive to enhance the quality of life on our campus by integrating the best practices of modern public and private security, law enforcement and fire safety.

CUNY Peace Officers and Campus Security Officers provide a highly visible presence around the clock in buildings and public spaces. The Department offers safety and awareness trainings and resources to members of the Hostos community. Understanding the importance of community partnerships, the Department has well-established relationships with many public and private institutions around the college and city. Safety and security is a shared responsibility, and it is imperative that everyone at the college work together to create and sustain a safe environment.

The Department holds itself to the highest professional standards to make you feel safe and welcome. We encourage your feedback to help our services evolve with needs of the College\University community.

The City University of New York Public Safety Services is dedicated to providing excellence in protection and service to the University community. As law enforcement officers and security professionals we shall continuously endeavor to ensure a safe and secure environment conducive to a positive social and educational process.
