The faculty-led General Education Pathways Assessment Committee (GEPAC) was established in Fall 2020. The GEPAC's main purpose is to provide support, guidance, and assistance of the assessment process to faculty responsible for the general education courses that are included in the CUNY Pathways initiative. GEPAC members are responsible for:

• Promoting a culture of assessment through regular communication and collaboration
• Supporting departments / units in the assessment process of CUNY Pathways General Education program
• Reviewing assessment data and providing recommendations to enhance the learning of Pathways outcomes
• Assisting departments / units in implementing changes in the assessment process

The GEPAC is chaired by the Director of Assessment, Associate Professor AJ Stachelek, who manages college-wide assessment efforts through program oversight, professional development, collaboration, and communication. The Director of Assessment reports to the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC) to facilitate institutional analysis for the assessment process beyond the individual Pathways outcomes.

Although it is primarily the faculty members who are responsible for the process, the two additional members from the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Assessment, enhance communication of assessment across the academic departments and the administrative offices that support them.
