What is CUNYfirst?
CUNYfirst is an Internet-based application built on the PeopleSoft Enterprise platform. IT uses the latest technology to serve our students, faculty, and staff. CUNYfirst stands for The City University of New York’s Fully Integrated Resources and Services Tool. You may access CUNYfirst from anywhere with Internet access.
Using CUNYfirst, students can manage their academic careers and financial accounts in real time and more. It gives faculty additional tools to enhance their interaction with students. It is also designed to give staff access to powerful processes that connect with the finance, student administration, and human resources functions which are necessary for the operation the nation’s largest urban university.
What are my CUNY Login account credentials (username and password)?
Your CUNY Login account username will be in the format Firstname.LastnameNN@login.cuny.edu, where “NN” is the last 2+ digits of your CUNY EMPLID. You will be assigned a username, EMPLID and you will create your own password during the account activation process.
What is an EMPLID?
In CUNY, an EMPLID is the unique eight digit CUNY identification number that assigned to every student, faculty and staff member in CUNYfirst. It is your Student ID or Employee ID number which is used in the CUNYfirst system across CUNY campuses.
